Eating Healthy On The Go: In-N-Out Burger

Before I begin I have to give credit for this “Healthy On The Go” recommendation to my mentor, Brad Waller. This guy is super busy, but he came up with a great choice when eating on the go. Now I don’t eat at In-N-Out burger (I’m in MD and it is primarily in California), but I have heard ALOT of people say they love this place. Brad came up with a great way to eat here and still eat healthy. Here it is.

In-N-Out Burger Healthy Meal Choice:

Double burger (no cheese),

Protein style (lettuce instead of bun)

Mustard and ketchup instead of spread

Nutritional Information: 260 calorie burger, 14 grams of fat, 22 grams of protein

I usually get a small fry and a diet coke when I eat out, but here is a good example of what I talked about in an earlier post when I talked about knowing what you eat. Fries at In-N-Out burger according to their nutritional guide is 400 calories and 18 grams of fat!!! That is almost twice as much as the burger choice itself. So I wouldn’t get the fries here or I would share a couple with someone else as my mentor suggested. It is little things like this that will kill your health, diet, nutrition goals.
