Table of contents for Eating Right On The Go
This restaurant is my meat and potatoes fast food restaurant. They have in my humble opinion the best healthy food choices of any fast food establishment, if you look at choices and quality of food (If you disagree, tell me whose better :-). Today, I am going to showcase my signature meal. The number 2 meal at Chik-Fil-A. The Number 2 is the meal to eat on the go. Here are the numbers:
The Number 2 with Fries: Calories 550; fat 19g; saturated fat 4.5g; trans fat 0g; chol 50mg; sodium 1420mg; carbs 68g; fiber 8g; sugar 8g; protein 31g
The Number 2 without Fries: Calories 320; fat 3g; saturated fat 1g; trans fat 0g; chol 50mg; sodium 1340mg; carbs 50g; fiber 5g; sugar 19g; protein 28g
I want to highlight something in these two choices. The fries significantly alter the health quotient of this meal. In a nutshell, replacing the fries with the fruit cup shaves 230 calories, 17 grams of fat, 1.5 of saturated fat, 80mg of sodium, 18 grams of carbs off the meal. Those are significant numbers and over the course of time can significantly impact your health and fitness goals. Now, while I say all of that. I usually order the fries. :-) Hey, I workout alot.
